Mercy Pedalers is a volunteer-powered ministry dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness with compassion, dignity, and hope. Your generosity helps us provide essential supplies, expand outreach, and offer life-changing assistance. Donations from individuals, families, businesses, and community partners help support our street outreach efforts throughout Sacramento.

Mercy Pedalers is a supported ministry of the Sisters of Mercy West Midwest Community. Financial contributions are processed through Mercy Foundation, a nonprofit organization recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations are tax-deductible.

For more than 60 years, Mercy Foundation has partnered with the community to further the mission of the Sisters of Mercy, feeding the hungry, sheltering those experiencing homelessness, educating underserved communities, and caring for those in need.

Ways To Donate

Monetary donations allow us to respond quickly to the greatest needs in our community. Your support helps provide outreach supplies, transportation assistance, emergency housing support, volunteer equipment, and other essential resources. Financial gifts help Mercy Pedalers continue providing compassionate street outreach and practical assistance to people experiencing homelessness.

Our volunteer Pedalers rely on bicycles and tricycles to reach individuals living on the streets throughout our service areas. Bicycles allow Mercy Pedalers volunteers to meet people where they are and provide supplies, companionship, and compassionate outreach throughout the community.

To serve as a Mercy Pedaler, you will need to:

  • Gently used bicycles and tricycles
  • Bike carriers and baskets
  • Saddle bags
  • Cycling equipment and safety gear
  • Financial donations to purchase or repair equipment

One of the simplest ways to support Mercy Pedalers is by donating the everyday items we distribute during our outreach. These supplies help us build relationships while meeting immediate needs with dignity and compassion. Donated food, hygiene products, clothing, and other essential supplies are distributed directly through our outreach to people experiencing homelessness.
